  1. The Hammerhead looks really sharp. I'm jealous of the nice, neat orange sept markings! What's your secret?

  2. I do love that Hammerhead. How did you do the camo scheme on it without a spray gun? I'd like to know how you did the Sept marking too. If I ever do some Tau again I'll be trying it out.

  3. I do it all freehand. The orange strips the camo, all done freehand.

I slightly water the orange down a little before painting the model. Makes it easier to control. I also rest my wrists against my desk, stops the arm shakes from reaching the brush.

  4. What I mean is though, how did you get the faint brown slightly see-through camo pattern?

  5. Ah I just used a knackered old paint brush to 'stipple' on the brown. Same sort of technique as drybrushing only with a bit more paint and pushing the brush directly down on the model rather then stroking it. This will knacker a brush though. The brown was quite light so didn't fully coat the knarloc green basecoat, the camera flash probably helps to see the layer underneath. but looks pretty good to the naked eye as well.
